Converted username with a "+" in it can't edit profile!

Hi guys I hope you can help me. I recently switched from Y1G to SE the converter worked wonderful within 5 minutes all my 26000+ posts appeared at my SE version. Also all members were successfully converted only some had to reenter the screenname because signs like <, > | were showed as entities.

No problem at all however some user complained that they can't edit their profile I looked at it and obviously all user with a "+" in it can't edit their profile they can log in and all but they can't edit their profile. I looked at the MySqL database and their username and all info appears normal e.g. Dest  his username is +-KoS-+_Dest when I move over his name in the bottom line the correct link appears:  action=viewprofile;user=+-KoS-+_Dest but when I click on it it changes to action=viewprofile;user=%2B-KoS-%2B_Dest. As a consequence I get the following error message:

The user whose profile you are trying to view does not exist. -- -KoS- _Dest -  But also if I replace the %2B with the + I get the same error message but as I stated before he can log in regular and he is also in my MysQL database.

What can I do pls help me to fix this bug. Thanks,

Maybe I have this error because you can't register in YaBB SE with a + in the username but in Y1G you could and now it censors the username or so!? I don't know.

You may need to fix their username manually unless someone posts a fix for it.

Thanks I changed the MySQL database manually because I couldnt find the appropriate file to debug this fault. I think you can lock this thread now.
