Add "New" Icon to Modified Message?

Hey all,

     I may have missed this in another post, but is it possible to have a post that is modified act for all intents and purposes as a new post? (i.e.-Displaying the new icon and moving to the top of the thread)

Just wondering, we have alot of members who keep ongoing stats in their post, and rather then making a new post they like to just modify them, however no one knows whats been modified without looking at the dates.
