Does Y1G have to be located on the same server as YabbSE?

I would like to know this, since I now have Y1G installed on my webspace on another server. I just bought a domain on another server, and I want to have YabbSE there because this server has php and mysql. So, do I first have to move the old Y1G to the new server or is the converter.php able to convert if Y1G is located on another server?
