It was decided a long time ago that it isn't a bug since it functions as it should. It's the user that messes it up and would require a lot of error checking in order to ensure all the table tags were there.

However, I do believe it's being looked at - but it's far down on the list of priorities especially with our latest announcement.

Kitty, this is not a bug. You entered the post incorrectly. You entered this way:

[ move ] [ glow ... ] ............. [ /move ] [ /glow ]

Which is wrong. Right would be this way:

[ move ] [ glow ... ] ............. [ /glow ] [ /move ]

I changed your test post that way which fixed the table problem.

Owkeee not a bug ...

How do i xplain on i guess 5 boards to about 30 Moderators  and 3000 users ...

Do not use the tags in:

[ move ] [ glow ... ] ............. [ /move ] [ /glow ]

Which is wrong. Right would be this way:

[ move ] [ glow ... ] ............. [ /glow ] [ /move ]

And it is not for me only ... i give support ( yabb-nl ) what do i tell the people who have the same error on their board ...."no it is not a bug...just an minor error "  ??? watch your board close, and edit it when you run into this little small errorthing ... mwhaaaa  :(

I am proud to be an YaBB moderator, giving support, but that kind of answers i don't like to give.

Just tell them the following:

You need to make sure that your tags are closed in the order that they appear.

You don't want to close them like this:
[a][c]... [/a][/c]

Rather, close them in reverse order of the way you opened them.
[a][c]... [/c][/a]

This is true for not just message boards, but the HTML world over.  It's even done that way with MS Word, and in real life.

If a tag is posted incorrectly it should not be displayed in the message, instead of messing up the template !

Not so.  Every single markup language that I know of will either try to render broken tags - or just not render the document at all.

For example - try making a misordered table in HTML.  It'll display incorrectly.  Who are we to say that something that's been redesigned over and over is following a flawed design concept?

The point is, that by trying to reder broken tags, we save people more effort than cause people.

For example - this misordering
hi will actually work - because we don't try to filter it out.

And, I should say I have put soem effort into making it not... act so badly when you make such an error... but, it's difficult to check on.
