I used this mod on YaBB Gold,
and now I would like to use it on YaBBSE 1.5.3

does it works on YaBBSE 1.5.3?

Yes it works on 1.5.3.

Everything that works on 1.5.2 will work with 1.5.3.

It works fine on 1.5.4!

I installed it with BoardMod, no problems there.  he adjusted 16/16 files, with no errors.  

When I load my files back up, and go to my Admin page, it doesn't shows a link where I can add smilies  

What am I doing wrong?

Did you upload the right files? Sometimes I upload my backup copy of Admin.php, instead of the edited one..

you might also recheck that the admin file was modified.  I have found repeated instances where the modifications did not get saved for no apparent reason, with both board mod, and with dreamweaver mx as well.

Jep, I uploaded the right file.  I'll try to re-mod them...

Nope, didn't work...  But it did something, because my smilies are now on the left hand side of the text type window (for posting a new message or reply).

Isn't there some URL where I can go directly to the window for adding smilies?

Go to your Mod Settings and edit the way the smilies are displayed. I take it the link is displayed now anyway? If not make sure you uploaded the modified english langauge file.

Wish language do you use?
If you use another language then english it will not show up on your admin board.

Okey, I solved the problem (adjusted my dutch.lng).

For some reason when I go to use Board Mod for Smilies2.1 (also tried Smilies 2.0)  I've got the latest BaordMod...it only goes up to Yabbse 1.5.1  and I'm using Yabbse 1.5.3...could that be the problem?  Is there some way to work around it?  Is there another Board Mod just for SE that I'm not aware of?

I can't believe how easy it was to convert my board over to Yabbse...but I'm spending forever to get smilies installed.  

Could the problems be due to the conversion from Yabb?

If I use a smilie from the smilie list and a regular smilie from the regular post page it won't display the original smilie.  It will display a small ( . ) period.  I have to choose atleast two original smilies.  It seems to disregard the first one.
