Hide Hack

Updated for 1.5.1

Simply install the mod. Then when replying to a thread, click the hide box to insert the [hide][/hide] tags. Enter the code you want hidden between those tags. ;)
Don't forget to upload hide.gif to your Images Directory!

Code in the tags can only be viewed by Members of your board, who have replied to the thread it is posted in. Guests cannot see the code.

heu.... seems doesnt work...

i have yabb 1.1.0 .... i used boardmod ... im on a local machine...

when i start a new thread, i see the hide button right after the red 'A' ... but when the user go on that thread.. he see all the text... why ??

the only things that happens is that the hidding text appears in bold characters

that's odd. I'll take a looksee shall I?  ;)

I can't find any problems in the hack. If you want just install this hack either manually or using PackMan.
I've no idea why it won't work! But I do know the code is alright. I'll try get an update on this later, so just use the pacman version, that is if pacman works! Because it wont for me! lol

its worst with packman.... it will not install the button hide... even if the .gif is in the yabb image directory....

maybe the hack will work properly in version 1.1 :P

damn.... now im trying to uninstall the mod with packman...

2: file("Packages/modification.mod") - No such file or directory

lol thats not the mods fault. PackMan is dodgy. Anyway, I have reuploaded the mod and it works fine now. Added some code that weirdly wasn't needed! lol.
In fact PacMan is so bad it probably didn't install the mod at all! Just open the files otherwise to search for the code.

we have another problem....

maybe u can try it...

if the user click on the quote button first.. he will be able to see the hidden text without any reply...

of course... if we remove the quote button, the problem is non-existant... but if we want to keep it ??

It's not really working, if i put [hide]urlofftp[/hide], people can still see it.

I'm using YaBBSE 1.1.0

So what's the problem???

put the new version of subs.php .... make a backup first :D

when you make a thread with hidden text... if you go see your thread... the owner of the thread can see the hidden text...

Then i have to change nothing.

So i can see the hidden text.

But by my YaBBC Tags are not fine, i go 3 lines of Yabbc tags, in the 2nd line i got:href="javascript:underline()">

What does that mean??

Must i remove something from subs.php

the hide button colour looked a little yuk...  so here is one to match the default YaBB theme...
