source directory errors.

I have been working on this problem forever, I always get this error when using any version of the converter I can find.

Converting Settings...
File /agreement.txt not found
File /censor.txt not found
File /membergroups.txt not found
File /membergroups.txt not found
File /oldestmes.txt not found
File /reserve.txt not found
File /reservecfg.txt not found

I've used complete paths starting at /var/www/vhosts/.... and even copied the old files into the new yabbse directory and used ./ to denote the directory to access and have even tried accessing the original files using a directory underneath like ../oldforum

Somebody please tell me what the best method of telling the converter where to look for the files or if there is something weird in php that isn't letting it see the files. I am running red hat 8 with the newest versions of php 4.x and mysql database.

Thanks

I found out the converter on default put a bunch of crap like this <?=$y1gdir?> into the fields. My other server didn't do that. I just copied the forum over there and installed yabbse and converted it then backed up the database and sent it back over to the other computer and everything worked. Must be some weird issue with redhat's apache and php
