Invision board 1.0.1 -> YaBBSE 1.4.1

Here is the converter for Invision board 1.0.1 to YaBBSE 1.4.1.

This converter is designed for Invision Board 1.0.1 to YaBBSE 1.4.1, any other versions are not supported and you use at your own risk.

WARNING: Categories, boards, topics, posts, and members will be deleted from the YaBBSE board, this is to prevent any complications during the conversion. However no data will be deleted from your Invision Board.

Instructions:

1.) Edit ibf2yse.php and put the correct settings for the boards in it.

2.) Upload the file to your web site and run it from your browser.

3.) Follow all instructions to convert your invision board to yabbse.

4.) Delete ibf2yse.php from your server.

I was just going to start working my own converter (so I can finally get back to YaBB SE), but this should do just fine. Thanks!

I tested with ib 1.1, just to see if it would work.

it exported most of the topics and posts, i think. however topics got split up in all sorts of funny places. Also my admin account wasn't exported.

the post count now reads 601 when it should be 1181 on my board. a recount doeesnt help (maybe all posts didnt get exported).

anyway, it would be nice if somenoe could make a converter for 1.1 now.

if i knew how, i would, but i dont, so i cant.

I have nothing to say... I don't plan to update the converter.

@[Unknown], one of the reason I beleive things are disappearing is the lack of addslashes to the text... I had this problem with another converter I wrote, and fixed it in it... but I beleive this one will crash when there is text from the db that requires slashes. Anyway, you have my permission to alter it.

Hi Chis, I'm sorry if my post didn't sound very friendly that was not my intention But I would really like to switch from Invision Board to Yabbse which I view as far superior The problem is I have a 1.1.1 and your ver for 1.0.1 will not work for me. Is there no chance to get it updated??
