Avatar is cool but it is big! If you don't want to waste your main host bandwidth... You have got other free/cheap host to host images?

Ok.. I just finished it into the .mod file.

http://www.vrl.barrysworld.net/work/mod/ExtAvatar.mod

After upload new Sources/Profiles.php file. you should upload your own new text file called 'extavatar.txt'  to the main YaBB SE directory. (parent of Sources directory). The format in this file is as follows

<URL with or without http>|The Description

While this is to save your bandwidth, you can categorize your avatar...

YaBBImages/avatar/blank.gif|---- Category name ----
http:///some.free.host/1.gif|Description One !
http:///some.free.host/2.gif|Description Two !
http:///some.free.host/3.gif|Whatever is here!
http:///some.free.host/4.gif|Freedom for you!

I have released the version 0.2

When the profile page is loaded again, the images are displayed and selected correctly now.

I don't think... there will be other version anymore. because..it now does the work properly.

It allows you to store your avatars in an off-site location to reduce bandwidth usage at your host.

For example, if your forum was at http://www.yourdomain.com/YaBBse/ then your avatars would be at http://www.yourdomain.com/YaBBse/YaBBImages/avatars/ and you don't have a choice about it.

If you install this mod, you can store images offsite, like at you.freeservers.com/avatars/ and they will still be listed in the avatar choices in the profile section of your board. That way, the only bandwidth used for avatars is from the free host.
