Help: Streching the background picture

i wonder if there is a way to strech the background picture of a yabbse forum according to the screen resolution of the viewer.

if this is possible, pls tell me how to do.

use  nummeric valeu% in place of the normale pixels

Do background images have a width and heigth attribute? Maybe it can be done with javascript or css.

the original size is 1280x836
what i want is to check the viewers screen res and strech the background's width (and 'height' according to that proportion) so that s/he wouldn't miss any parts of the picture.

why not set the main table size to 100% then apply a 100% picture size attribute, therefore when a visitor comes to the site the image is automatically stretched to 100% of thier screen.

You can do that but the picture will look blaa you need to strech te height en width in the same way.
