I've installed YaBB SE on my PC at home
and I'm having troubles with this damn cookies!

I log me in, click on "logout" and when I click on "home"
then i am automatically logged in again!

I've installed and un-installed and re-installed YaBB SE
several times!
Is this the problem?
Where can I delete the cookies?

And how can I do, that this wont happen again?

Thank you!

Cool, you have the exact reverse of the problems other people are experiencing.

But, I would advise you to take the same steps. If you are on 9x, me and so on....you will find cookies in c:\windows\temporary internet files
To make sure you delete the right cookies, you might as well delete them all.

When you are on win 2000 or NT, you'll have to search for the user profiles directory, and delete the cookies over there too.

Ive another problem!

Cause im testing YaBB SE offline, the mail(); function is not working!

So I was interested in the "forgotten password?" function,
entered my User name and clicked on "send"!

So he changed the password, but didnt send me a mail!
So I can enter the db but the password is hmm ..
(dont know the correct word in english) "coded",
so i dont know my password!

What can I do?  ;D

You said you can enter the database...

well....you can code the password yourself and overwrite it. Use the password() function to code it....otherwise md5() could help.

here's what you do.  make a file with this in it:
<?php
$plainPass
"mypassword";
$encryptedPass crypt($plainPasssubstr($plainPass,0,2));
print
$encryptedPass;
?>

except replace mypassword with the password you want...upload it to your webspace, run it - copy and paste the encrypted password into the db, then erase the file (so no one can open it to see your password).

That should work.

Okey, my mistake....forgot that it's encrypted in php already....not by the database.

Use Josephs solution  :)
