Parse error in Subs.php

QuoteParse error: parse error in /home/rocknrollhs/public_html/yabbse/Sources/Subs.php(387) : regexp code on line 1

Fatal error: Failed evaluating code: '
'.doparsecodesmilies('In my case

The above is what I get in a few of the posts in an otherwise smooth conversion from Y1G.  The "In my case" is actually a reply somewhere in the middle of the thread, the reply may or may not be complete but it ends with "/home/rocknrollhs/public_html/yabbse/Sources/Subs.php on line 387"
and then the thread starts normally.

You can reply, but it doesn't show up, and you don't get any mod/admin functions at the bottom of the screen so I can't delete or lock these threads.

I'm hoping my users will just ignore them(and I am instructing them to do so, but you know...) so that they'll just fall off and end up going away in a month or so in a normal old-message purge.

Any way I can fix Subs.php or is it just some error from the conversion that I have to live with?

Thanks for any help!

here's an example from my board:
QuoteParse error: parse error in /sites/rainemu.com/www/msgboard/yabbse/Sources/Subs.php(387) : regexp code on line 1

Fatal error: Failed evaluating code: '
'.doparsecodesmilies('\\\':(\\'',1).'
' in /sites/rainemu.com/www/msgboard/yabbse/Sources/Subs.php on line 387

produced by posting a message with ':('

(and another error - why doesn't the quote in this message end??) :)
