Well first of all, all messages are counted as 0 when you first install the mod. Which means if you already had any messages in your inbox they are counted as not being read. As for the messages out... it should not be reading them. It only checks the toName and not the fromName... so I don't think it should be getting your outbox messages...

As for the error iamdamnsam got I will take a look and see what is going on.

Well it seemed to read my outbox because I had no inbox messages but 9 in outbox and it said you have 9 new :)

Did it get fixed? I am anxious to install this mod. My users have been crying since I converted from YaBB SP1. Anyone running it right now fine? Thanks!

I'm running it at the moment. It works fine except you have to check your boxes before it shows the correct amount of new messages.

I think I might have found what the problem is. This involves what Nossie said about 103 new messages... the problem was that all of your members together have sent you around 103 messages... and they never deleted those 103 from their outboxes. If this is the problem that has been going on, I will have a fix for it shortly.

With the alert version, they can choose whether or not they want to see alerts.

Don't download it yet! I have found the bug mentioned here and am working on it.

Now, before I release the next version, I want everybody to come to my board at http://www.agigames.com/boardmod/ register, but don't send im's to yourself. I want yall to send IM's to me and eachother. I need to make sure this is working right and sending messages to just yourself isn't going to help me find out whether the bug is fixed or not.

Please report any bugs to me.

Alright everybody, I have uploaded the new versions that fix the bug. It has been tested on Nossie's board and the bug that gave him around 103 new IM's is gone. If you already have run Newmessagesdb.php you will not need to run it again. But if this is the first time installation you do need to upload an run it. I just changed some query's in the .mod file. So uninstall the other version of the mod, then download the new version, then install the new version using boardmod and it should now be fixed.
