Problem Description:
my forum is in maintanance mode, and i forgot my new password (yeah i know, this is pure stupidity)

how can i get my password back?

Use the forgot password function when trying to login.

It will send a new password to the e-mail address in your profile.

Actually, that won't work.  You'll have to take it out of maintenance mode first, which means editing Settings.php.  You want to set $maintenance to 0.  Like this:

$maintenance = 0;
