Quote from: Big P on May 02, 2002, 07:33:57 PMAs I've already said this mod is designed to work with a clean YaBB board. If installing the mod there is a problem ,then it is not my fault.
Something weird happened with my Smiley files, So I think some of my old code is in there. I'll look into this now.
I'll also look into the IM function.  ;) But that should work!

Edit: The IM function works fine Jalapeno! :P
Also, I think I'll remove the YabPak version as that is the version that won't install properly as stated in readme.html. It's all a hit and miss with it really! BoardMod is the only safe way.  ;)

Edit2: I've noticed a few unneccessary bits of code, aswell as a bug! A stupid bug really! I'm going to release an update soon as I've fully tested it.
I'm also going to add a automatic space after all smiley code, as asked for in an earlier post.  ;)

I also noticed that if you put a lot of smilies in a row the line won't break at all but keeps going off the screen and the side scrollbar will come in view. Can it be that it will break the row so that the page won't get too wide?

Also could it be made so that smilie code  would be same as , I think it is case sensitive at the moment.

BigP,

Is there an ETA on your update, or is this on the back burner for now?  Just curious as to whether I should wait or try to fix the probs with the current ver.

thx!

Sorry people! I've been away the last 3 or so days!
Plus I've tests all this week, so I'll be a lil on/off.
Regarding an error with the smilies mod, with the error pointing to template.php.
Don't you people use 1.3.1? template.html was replaced with template.php for the current version, if you edited this yourself open smilies.php and replace template.php with template.html.
Edit: Mod file has been uploaded. See the first post for details. So far, all proved bugs have been quashed. I'll look into a case sensitive feature, I forgot about it.

LOL - I'm saying this for the last time! Don't use the smilies.mod.yp, it isn't likely it will install for you! :P (I mean it is well documented in the readme.htm file too!)
In fact, if you have any errors with this mod and you use the .mod.yp version for YabbPak, I'm not giving any support! :P

Still more bugs  :-\

You forgot to add the linebreak query to Smilesdbmod.php and IM and post preview give javascript errors when in non VB mode, I have added them to my Post.php to make it work, if you would like to see my post.php IM me.

Yeah, I still get the same things....the order change doesn't seem to be working either, though I don't care, don't really need it :)

Copy that. Same problems. No line breaks. Preview/IM issues. Re-ordering doesn't work, nor does editing smilie code, though I'm not sure if you're allowed to change it anyhow.

My smilies are also appearing in a different order in the admin panel than they were designed to. They're OK on the board, though, so it's no big thing. This has happened without trying to re-order ... on a fresh board.

I've just installed it on my final, fresh outcoming Board and I must say it works properly. Okay, I'm not using the Order Change... 8)

Erm, I kind of didn't update the zip file properly!  ::)

But alls well now, I have the mod reuploaded with version 1.2b!
Please note: Version 1.2b is the current release, and therefore should be used over the current versions. You may need some experience editing your Database if upgrading, all is told in the smilies.mod file.  ;)

Please post all bugs as of this version. I have found no more bugs with this version, so please let me know how you get on.  ;)

For those of us who are not php whizes, how the hell do you add a linebreak row? Step by step instructions would be appreciated.

You might want to put that info somehwere easier to find, too.

Well firstly you'll need PhpMyAdmin, or some other MySQL db editor.
Now, go to your smilies table.
Click browse, you should see your smiley names, code etc. and a link saying: Insert new row. Click that link.
Just enter "linebreak" as the new name. And save.  ;)

Go into phpMyAdmin and enter this into the query box

ALTER TABLE `yabbse_smilies` ADD `linebreak` TEXT NOT NULL;
Note : this query assumes you are using "yabbse_" as you database prefix, if not then change the "yabbse_" to match yours.

Press the go button and it should be added
