On the YaBB 1 Gold team maybe, we still have 27 members as we started this thing several months ago.  So far I've been fighting cancer for 115 days.

Just a question:

I'd like to help the project. I have a PC that is always connected to the Internet and no one is working on it. It's a PIII 500 and the Programm could use all the Power the Machine has, but not all of the internet connection. Can someone tell me how much of the up and downstream the program needs ? If it isn't that much, i'm willing to give the entire power of the machine to the project. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, ...

Precious little bandwidth. It only checks in in when the process has finished the assignment given to your computer.

Also, you can tell when it needs a new block of data, because when it tries to connect, and fails it flashes a yellow exclamation mark in the system tray.

This is a great idea, and I just signed up and started today. Not because of the 'contest'. I had never heard of this project until today, and I am more than glad to help out with this. Absolutely no incentive necessary.  :)

I didnt actually start another one, before I joined your team I was already a member of another team. So I simply left that one joined yours, then go back to my own team because it was revieved :)

My team is here Its not exactly the most impressive stats I know.

I had heard of UD and this project, but never installed the client until I found out SE had a team.  I joined right away.

I just read this thread again and found out there was a contest involved, joy!  ;D

What is on this "CD" that the winners get?

Some little bits of info:

If we can get our member numbers up to 31 we can overtake Jaguar Cars
See   the members page (listed ~620)

On the processing charts we're around 2471
Processing time
Just behind the medical college of Ohio and Team Motorola.

just got myself signed up. we'll see how it goes. too bad they don't have a linux client as far as i can tell. i'm sure a few are running strictly on that currently. oh, well.
