Very off-topic in my opinion, but I'll answer it anyway - You can it via .htaccess:

Options ExecCGI
AddHandler cgi-script .cgi .pl

(assuming you have the necessary AllowOverride settings in httpd.conf)

Thanks for helping me out, I tried what you said, with no luck. I have access to those files through my web host control panel. But when I apply changes it deletes the entries I put in there manually. So I am just going to have to call them up tommorrow.

Thanks,

Well, the method I described works for me anyway (my web host had CGI/Perl disabled for all directories except cgi-bin, which I had to change via that method)...

Quote from: Jeff Lewis on March 01, 2002, 03:51:56 AMWe had a problem where our database was overwritten by accident tonight.

Sadly, the last backup we had made was from late January.

We have restored this backup and hope you are not too inconvenienced.

If you notice any problems, please let us know...
HERE

we have often spoken about what would be the best thing to do and how to do it, back up the database.

i dont know if you know of it, but i hope you do, mysqldump, ive tryed to look around it, and i think i found something. its very easy:
mysqldump -p yabbse > yabbse.sql
then it will ask for your mysql password, and backup the yabbse database.

it should be fairly easy for everyone. how to put it back, shouldnt be to hard either

I noticed completed mod board gone, also looks like the old 1.0.0 bug board got restored by accident. Where it was removed prior to crash.

That recent huh  ;)

Could you restore the post where you said I was right? I really liked that one  ;D j/k

Oh, and you may want to repost your question about folks wanting to wait for the backup function  before you release 1.3.0  ;D

Seriously, I have some small idea of what you're gong thru. I can't speak for everyone but just want you to know I think you folks are doing the best you can (which is quite good indeed) and am not upset at all.

Just remember the two rules of life:
1. Don't sweat the small stuff.
2. It's all small stuff.
