Sorry, what I'm trying to say is... why match the old information?

You're going to have to change the username and probably password, as well as the database name.  These things can be changed in Settings.php.

You won't be able to use the old details... but that's okay.  YaBB SE works fine if you change the login and database details, as long as the database is where ever you tell it it is.

Im confused, without matching information how can I restore the database dump file to the new server. What Im getting out of this error message:

Warning: mysql_connect(): Access denied for user: 'seiryuu_@localhost' (Using password: YES) in /home/seirie/public_html/forum/restore script.php on line 37

is that the user has to be changed to seirie in order for a connection to be made. But that is impossible to do with my old server.

IDK, am I just an idiot wasting my time? I had no idea it was going to be this complecated -_-.

OOOHHHHHH! Ok I think im starting to understand what your saying. Ok I did what you said and ran the restore script again, but now im getting errors like this when the script tries to execute the querys:

Error: Duplicate entry '4' for key 1

Error: Table 'yabbse_boards' already exists

What do I do? When I check phpMyadmin it says everything is in there, but all my browser displays when I go to the board URL is "The page cant be displayed"
