Why is wrong with my yabbse forum?

Why is wrong with my yabbse forum?  Why won't it work?  Here is my account information.  Please fix it so that it works for me.  Thanks again.

Remove your password from that post right now. You could be hacked if somebody reads that password.

This is not how you go about getting help. You don't just order people to fix it for you.

You ask what the problem is, and then we tell you how to fix it.

Go into phpmyadmin and run this query:

Code Select Expand

UPDATE yabbse_settings SET value='0' WHERE (variable='enableCompressedOutput')

You might have to replace "yabbse_" in that query with your prefix if you changed your prefix from the default.

How do I change my ftp password and my phpmyadmin password?  How do I do queries on phpmyadmin?  I'm new to doing queries.

Click the sql tab in phpmyadmin, then paste that code I gave you into the box. And click go.

As for changing your passwords... talk with your host about that.

How do I find out what prefix I used?  I did that and it never fixed the problem.  Can you try and fix it for me?

Well, during the installation you entered a prefix to use in the database...

If you could go into phpmyadmin and tell me the name of one of the tables for YaBBSE I could determine what prefix you used.

Or you can also open Settings.php and search for the prefix in that file.

My prefix was yabbse.  Now what do I do to fix the problem?

Um, php doesn't have a password.

Did you receive any errors when you ran that query I posted earlier? It did run?

Yeah it did run but the forums are still not working.  I get an error invalid before I took _ out of yabbse_settings but I changed it to yabbsesettings and it worked.  But forums still aren't appearing.
