How can you add one line to the profiles?

All I want to do is to add one line to everyone's proflie.  I don't need the whole superprofile mod, just add one more line for them to fill in.

If this is an easy thing to do, like edit a couple of files and add a field in the database, then what files are involved?  

If it is complex, never mind.
