Should your paths in Settings.php not use \ instead of /

You're on a windows system right?

Jeff it doesnt mater if hes on a widows system and using Apache. Apache uses forward slashes like *nix systems do.

it keeps things simple so, forward slashs are to be used.

C:/apache/htdocs/homepage/erz/yabbse/install.php

It's more likely to be a problem with the rights on the directory's your accessing. Try to add the administrator group to the directory's, and give them full rights.
