Tried to convert 1.4.1 -> 1.5.4, yabbse doesn't work anymore

I tried to convert yabbse 1.4.1 -> 1.5.4 but the converter gave an error message at step 2 (fatal error). Now the forum displays the start page but none of the messages can't be displayed. I can't login either, it gives error message that no such username. Does anyone have any idea what should I do next to fix the problems?

I haven't had much luck upgrading from 1.4.1 to 1.5.4 either. This is probably my 7th time trying and it is still on step 2 now for about 15minutes.

I'm thinking of just scrapping entire old database and starting over with new version.

wow, just got mine working!! I made backups of database file and forum files. I then deleted everything in folder and copied over 1.5.4 files. Then just copy back your old templates.html and Settings.php to directory. I ran the upgrade.php and it worked!

Tried that but still no go. MySQL is reporting an "unknown column" error looking for "ID_LAST_TOPIC" in one of my tables. 1.4.1 didn't seem to look for this column. Was a column added in the upgrade? Is there a converter for the DB and, if so, where do I get it?

Did you run the upgrade script on your database?
