Omar,

What do you mean "manually".  I could manually edit the files that boardmod has trouble with, but I'm worried that if I take out the non-matching parts my previous mods (the supermod) won't function - or worse my whole board will not function.  (I'm not skilled in editing code.)

If anyone knows which mod "catAllowCollapse" belongs to, I could try to uninstall that mod only.  Then I think boardmod would work.

It seems like the best solution would be for me to get rid of the supermod all together, but I don't know how to do that.

Any help would be appreciated.

why don't you try installing this mod manually into your supermod, keeping a copy of the original files as a backup... if it works, no problem, if it doesn't, go back to the original :)

supermod is pretty good to get rid of it, it has plenty of stuff already included, saving you a lot of trouble

What version of Apache are you running?

If it's 1.X.X, the AcceptPathInfo directive doesn't exist, which is why you are getting that error.  You shouldn't need it, tho, as the Lookback function is always enabled in Apache 1.X.X

To test, do http://yourdomain.com/forum/index.php/ThisIsATest

And you should get the main page of your forum.

What i mean, is open the .mod in notepad or whatever... look for the <search> tags, and search it manually. the <replace>, <after> and <before> and the places where you must paste the code.

ja ne!

Are you running PHP compiled as an apache module, or as a CGI?

If PHP is running as a CGI, path_info won't work unless PHP is compiled with --enable-discard-path turned on.

Look at this page for more info: http://www.phpbuilder.com/manual/security.cgi-bin.php

It worked!  I used a combination of boardmod and hand editing and things seem to be working now.

Thanks for the help.

How do I know which it is doing? I think it's running as a module as php.exe isn't running

No mention of php.exe in there
The closest I could find was:

LoadModule php4_module c:/php/sapi/php4apache.dll

Then do you have any idea why when I try to run the mod, I get a load of errors about $PATH_INFO being undefined and therefore it doesnt work?

After turning register_globals on, it seems to be working, but I still get some errors.

Any ideas?
