Hi YaBB SE Team!

I want to test your YaBB SE offline!

After I set my admin-name and password i get this:

Warning: Failed opening '/apache/htdocs/homepage/erz/yabb/Settings.php' for inclusion (include_path='.; \apache\includes;\apache\htdocs\;\apache\htdocs\phpmyadmin') in C:\apache\htdocs\homepage\erz\yabb\install.php on line 364

Warning: crypt() is not supported in this PHP build in C:\apache\htdocs\homepage\erz\yabb\install.php on line 371
Error: No Database Selected

What I made wrong?

Thank you very much for (fast) help!!!

Ask anything you want to ask to solve my problem!  ;D

Well, you have a path wrong somewhere in Settings.php (make sure you use the proper / or \).  As for crypt, check here:

Geez, harsh ;)  crypt() is a Unix based encryption and has been known to have issues on Windows systems with PHP (which both of you are running).  Am looking into it now...

I know you have a lot of work, and maybe also get angry etc, cause there are so many problems to be solved and so much bugs and so on ...

If  I would be able to help me on my own i would do it, but im not a specialist with this crypt thing!
Im only programming a little bit PHP, thats all!
SO, anything to do, that i can run YaBB SE offline on my PC?

[ Win 2000, Apache, PHP (newest version), MySQL (new. ver.) ]

* YaBBy is waiting patiently again!

Hey and YaBB SE Team:

MERRY CHRISTMAS AND THANKS FOR THIS FORUM!

You still have to use C: in your paths, even if you are using apache, at least depending on what mode apache is set on.

What urls/paths in settings.php are you using currently?

I use a URL like: http://localhost/homepage/yabbse

(dont remeber the correct path cause ive uninstalled it,
cause i didnt get it working)

and the other was:

http://localhost/homepage/yabbse/YaBBImages/avatars
(or something like that)

And that's what your $boarddir is set to?    Still the same error message as before?   Try using the slashes the other way too, just for the heck of it.
