Well, I see that Daniel D supplied them in that thread, and he is also the one who supplied me the .psd files by email, so I guess the buttons must be the same :)

If there is anyone who knows which font / fontsize is being used for the original buttons : please let me know, so I can put the font online (if it is a .ttf).

I believe it was Tahoma, pointsize 8, for small buttons, and for the big buttons: pointsize 9, bold. (At least the original ones done by Christian Land). Maybe he was using Verdana for the big buttons, not sure about that.

Daniel is using maybe different fonts in the new buttons but I suppose you have already those buttons details.

It seems like a very interesting service, and nice with a button generator that finally supports Swedish characters (ÅÄÖåäö) correctly, as opposed to Cae's classic one...

However, I couldn't manage to get any results similar to those of the English buttons shipped with 1.5.1/1.5.2. What type face and stuff am I supposed to use to get the same look as the included ones?

No matter what I do, everything looks much bigger than the included buttons...

You mean the font size, or what ?

I can change anything you like, but I have to know what you mean to do that ;)

Ah, I guess it is the font size.  I changed it on the large YaBBSE buttons (I'll check the little buttons in a few minutes).

As long as you use Tahoma Bold for the large buttons, it will be the same size as included in the package.

Yes, it was the font size I was referring to. So large buttons should be in Tahoma Bold?

What about the small buttons?

Try Tahoma.

I must point out that the buttons that are used here at yabbse.org seem to have a slightly different font.  It looks "sharper" here, whereas on the buttongenerator the text looks a bit less sharp....

I see what you mean. Could it be that your script is using some kind of anti-aliasing that the buttons shipped with YaBB SE doesn't use? It almost looks that way...

Take a look at the image below - The left one is taken from the buttons included in 1.5.2, the right one is from your button generator (both are resized to about 5 times the original size).

In my opinion, it looks like some kind of anti-aliasing on the buttons generated from your script. Or something to that effect...

I turned off the anti-aliasing, so it looks much better now.

Any suggestions (or buttonssets :P) are welcome....

Ok.  I decided to make it like this : you can choose if you want the text anti-aliased or not.

Some buttons, in combination with certain fonts look better if you have it on, and others when you have it off.

Also, there are already some boards with the anti-aliased text on, so this option might be better for everybody.
