Hi there,

I've just downloaded and installed this Mod...everything seems to be working apart from one thing - I'm getting the same thread being displayed throughout my list on the webpage.

The webpage is here - http://www.stirlingbikeclub.org.uk - I'd like to display the last 8 - 10 threads that have had activity - how can I do this?

When I do a version check of my YaBB SE, this is what it gives me - YaBB SE 1.5.1RC1.

If I can't get this done with this version, how can I 'rollback' to a previous version to allow me to do this? Although reading this thread it would appear this latest version of the SSI.php is meant to only show 1 instance of each thread... (I'm confused!  ??? ).

Right, I hereby claim that I am unable to follow thread links - I did indeed find the fix for this in the User Guide link from your omanga pages.

Sorry for the hassles!  ;D

Thanks very much for your help,

Richard.

yes.. tried recentpoll..

i am unable to vote:

QuoteEither that poll doesn't exist, the poll has been locked, or you tried to vote twice.

looking at url.. it is only putting:

?action=vote

at the end of the url...  it needs the board arguments, etc.

it works, the vote is transfered using post method, so it wont show in the url
the only bug i made is a typo for function call
i wrote sessionCheck() instead of checkSession() >_<
i'll release a fixed version soon

Hey spaceman-Spiff this is a cool  8) mod. i like it already although i have some trouble with it .. ;)
perhaps you can help me out.

I applied the mod 1.3 but i cant get it to work in files made by my self

I only get everything to work when i place the code in the ssi_examples.shtml.

but as soon as i rename that file (nothing changes exept the file name) it gives me this

error Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /forum/ssi_examples2.shtml on this server.

is there a file where i should include newly made shtml files? or what  am i overlooking?

and another thing is ..is it possible to target the frame or let it open in a new window?

to see what i mean  i have made a link to my test site.
http://www.hostelsamsterdam.com/flyingpig/alt1024/1024all.htm where the ssi_examples works and the other not

I would realy apreciate it if you could help me out... and when ever you r in amsterdam you can stay the night for free in the hostel ;D

i am baffled ???

thanks in advance

Hi spaceman,

I use  a small frame on de side of my site of about 200 pixels width to put the the recent topics and thepoll in.

clicking on a link makes that the topic (or in fact the whole board) is opened in that frame.

so my question is; is it possible to change something in the ssi.php so that the showed links opens full screen in a new browswer or that you can taget them to a named frame?

if you look on http://www.hostelsamsterdam.com/flyingpig/alt1024/1024all.htm you see my test setting... and the problem i am facing  :'(

I opened ssi.php to try somethings but i keep messing it up instead of getting results

thanks
ps i hope this carifies my prewvious  mumbling about the target thing   ;D

i see what you mean now...
u can leave the target url to that frame only, so it will work okay with the recent poll
for the recentTopics, u can edit so all the urls will point to  _top, example:
$recent_topic = '<a href="' . $scripturl . '?board=' ...replace with:$recent_topic = '<a target="_top" href="' . $scripturl . '?board=' ...

hi,
i got one more question

if i want to use a another picture instead of $recent_icon in
echo "<tr><td>» $recent_icon [$recent_topic] by $recent_poster</td></tr>\n";
how do i do that?

i made an image called ltopic.gif and i thought this was the methode
echo "<tr><td>» $image[ltopic][$recent_topic] by $recent_poster</td></tr>\n";

because it worked with existing images like $img [home]
but i got errors when i tried to use my own pic :(
can you tell me what i am doing wrong?

thanks
