This mod is based off of Carsten's Membar Map mod for YaBB SP found here:

This mod allows users to place a pin on a map and select the flag of their country. See the mod file for more details.

Ok guys I've posted RC1 which you can try installing on your boards. I think I've included all the changes made so far but let me know of any install problems. This will only work on a 1.5.1 board, but you could probably make a few changes to make it work on older boards too.

Quick question:

For my first board I just need a regional Map(Northeast USA-I have the gif) Do I need to upload the Images and put them in these folders in the Images dir? and can I determine in my admincenter what maps/sections get used? I think the perl version had that(if we are thinking about the same original source)

Thanks for the MOD though- I do have a board that would need the world- so I hope you dont think your work is unappreciated by me(just waiting fpor another MOD I already have on my board to get the 1.5.1 update then Ill update that board.

If you just want that one map then you will only need to upload that map into the Continents directory. The mod works by reading any gif files in that directory. Be sure the map is the same size as the others though, I don't know how well it works if you don't.

Since you are only using the USA you can probably skip uploading the flags as well, except the USA and Noflag files.

You will also have to edit that mm_view variable that is inserted into the database. In future versions I will make it so you can edit that through the admin panel but for now you can just edit out the other countries.

Actually I went ahead and upgraded to 1.5.1 RC for my other board-

I made all the changes and skipped the query part(for a reason -Ill let the tech guy handle cause I dont understand it- is it something w/the dbase?) Anyway-
Where does this mod allow you to place the pin in a profile. I just started making the changes but am on my way out so I cant finish.

You would goto edit profile and where you normally type in your location there is now a link that pops up a window with the map.

The query part just inserts a bunch of regions into the database, basically the states/provinces for a few different countries.
