After you register your chat room you can add moderators to the chat interface.

click the Room Options Button in the rop left of the chat window and  add those people in as moderators. ::)

Step 1. After you isntall the mod log into the chat room. if the nickname you are using is not the name you wan to use type /nick thenickyouwant ( some names may be taken already this is why we use that abbreviation)

Step 2. First register your nickname with the system, double click on it in the right hand members list. A window will open asking for a password and submit it.

Step 3. Click the room option button on the chat interface . It is the second button from the left on the chat applet. This will allow you to register your room and change the various options in the room.

Let us know if we can help further.

What ever password you set in the param you put in the room password field in the config.

This is actually caused by some irc clients (such as trillian) which automatically set their users to be invisible. Not all irc clients will do this.

Quote from: brodle on January 22, 2003, 02:18:47 AMYou can set your room secret!!! All thanks you are acceptable via paypal donation at www.everywherechat.com :D.. Next thing will be new skin colors. Any graphic artist who would like to assist me please email [email protected].

List of Room Members( I know about the trailing comma, I'm working on that)

<script src="http://www.everywherechat.com/members.asp?room=Lobby"></script>

List of Users

<script src="http://www.everywherechat.com/users.asp?room=Lobby"></script>

Sweet!
One minor annoyance. When someone uses an IRC client to access the room (mIRC for example), the "List of Users" shows them on the yabbse board, however the "List of Room Members" doesn't reflect the correct count.
No biggie, you may already be aware of this :)

Great work! My users love this mod!!!

EDIT: It's working now :)

I dont know how exactly you could edit yabb to allow it but if you wanted to add the chat as a seperate link you can grab the code in chat.php at http://www.everywherechat.com/addchat.htm

PostDeals: You will want to edit the subs.php

move the
Quote$yymenu .= "$menusep<a href=\"$cgi;action=chat;user=$euser\" target=_blank><img src=\"http://www.damien-hs.edu/forum/YaBBImages/chat.gif\" alt=\"Chat\" border=\"0\">";

to after this line:
Quoteif($username == "Guest") { $yymenu .= $menusep."<a href=\"$cgi;action=login\">$img[login]</a>$menusep<a href=\"$cgi;action=register\">$img[register]</a>";

let me know if that works for you.
BUT BUT BUT, you WILL have a problem with usernames since the program grabs the current users name, and yours will all be guest. Meaning that you will only be able to have one guest at a time. I will see about adding guest access to the new version and adding a random number. I'm finishing up the new version right now.

Anybody else interested in this feature, or want any others? Right now I added mod settings in the modcenter for a lot of new options, so let me know if anyone has any others.

Actually if you pass in the nickname of Guest to the chat applet it autosigns the person in as Guest(somerandomnumber)

example Guest34

Goosie chatted with me last night and we should have a new update available very soon.  Still looking for a graphic designer who  can do some color swapping for skins.
