Because Brodle is cool And his company doesn't mind us using it since it becomes a beta playground for them. I forgot to add that they have created the chat program in different languages. Change the chat.php to use the codes below if you want.

Also, someone at teaminfo.be (i think it's christ77) needs to change the roomname to what you want it to be. Your users are ending up in roomname.

So I have a dedicated server sitting on unlimited amount of bandwith with dual processor and 2 gigs of ram.

Just trying your chatroom app now. I had to use a Java addon for Jpilot (actions/smilies etc).

My users love your chatroom!!

Highly recommended! Its nice and quick.. no lag what so ever!

Has the user counter thing broke?

Even though I have users in my room.. it say zero. Also doesnt list any users.

I havent changed anything.

Ah.. I changed my room to secret (trying to stop random people popping in for a chat)

Is there another way for me to do that? Password protect the room... but I wouldnt want my members to have to keep typing the password in.

I am working on new scripts so that if you make your room hidden the tools to report who is logged in the chat rooms and how many users works.

For the time being what we can do is you can set a room password for your room. Tell me the name of your room and the password you set and I can code it into a param file I have here. it is not 100% affective cause ppl can view that param file but no one does cause no one ever needs to.  This way anyone logging in through your site will gain access to the room without putting in a password and anyone who tries to join from a nother room will need to know that password. So just email me the room name and password and I will have it up. [email protected]

Very nice mod!
I've just installed it on my board and so far it's working great!


Two minor problems:
I tried to use the dutch translated applet, but that applet comes up very small (about 50% instead of 100% width).
Any idea's?

There is always a ",," after the latest name in the "who's in the chat room" list.

you can use dutch_full.js instead of dutch.js

That applet is set to use 100% like goosemooses site.

If you want to set a password on your room you can pass in a &key=thepasswordhere on the e.js code in the mod. This should pass in the password so your users dont need enter a password and anyone else who tries to access the room will be prompted for that password and can not answer.

currently this only works on the defaul mod setup if anyone wants to use a translated applet and do this let me know.

Ive just got one question for Brodle

Ive a few users who love their IRC clients and hate Java, now I know from the docs that this chat is IRC compliant, and should be able to be connected to with an IRC client, but, I for the life of me cant figure out how ??  

maybe this is real obvious and I missed it, if so, pardon my ignorance
