This mod adds a link into the Admin page to allow you to remove every post by a user all at once. You can also choose to remove any active topics that the user has started. Another check box lets you get a status report of what it is trying to do just in case it fails... you'll know why and where.

Updates:
10/09/02 - Implemented horseman's improvments to the RemovePostsByMember.php to move all hard coded text into the lang file and added the german.lng file to the mod. Thank you Horseman.

~~03/03/2003 - Updated it for 1.5.1RC1~~
04/22/2003 - Updated it for 1.5.1 Final
06/05/2003 - Updated/verified it for 1.5.2 & 1.5.3

I should mention that be sure to back up your data before applying this, or any, mod. Everything I post works fine in my YaBB installation but your milage may vary.

Any idea when this mod will be in completed final form? This is a MUCH needed feature that i was surprised wasn't implemented into YaBB at all. There is basically no type of spam protection in the YaBB board.

As far as I am concerned, it IS done. But following the suggested rules of the board, I must put it through the "beta" stage before declaring it done. I tested it on my 1.4.1 board in every different scenario that I could think of and have had no problems. IF this is truly something you need, then you are the perfect person to give it a go. As always... backup before you move ahead. I welcome any and all feedback on this mod. Its wasn't something I needed but the idea sounded like a good challenge that turned out to be not such a big deal.

Hi Jack,

Once again you have written a great mod.

I have noticed one small thing, that it would be nice to add to this mod.

When a user signs up they use a member name, and as soon as they delete themselves there name stays attached to the post and also drops off the user list. So your mod no longer sees them because it only removes current members, it would be nice if your mod had a textbox where a username could be entered and your script did its stuff with that as well

Have I made sense?

Hmmm I keep getting a german.lng error!
When trying to use boardmod but I dont run the german.lng just the english.lng so it doesnt update it!

I have looked into this but unfortunately because of the way that YabbSE deals with this situation there is no simple way to acheive this.

I don't do BoardMod. If you have modified the mod in any way to use with BoardMod you are on your own. Sorry. The YabbPak should install flawlessly.

May I make another suggestion?

If a user has does something bad enough to warrent all his/her posts being removed - would it not make sense to remove all the IM's that the user has done as well?

Just a thought.
