okay, i guess I'll try my best.
boardmod version:

Download the RPG mod and place the 'rpg.mod' file into the folder that is labeled with the current version of your YaBB. This folder can be found under the boardmod directory on your harddrive. Next, run boardmod. From the dropdown list, select YaBB 1.4, and click on the checkmark. By doing so, boardmod will auto-install the mod onto your forums. After that, upload the four files that boardmod edited onto your server. also, upload the pics, dbmod.php, and rpmod.php files onto your servers. run dbmod.php, and it should work...

holy crap, that's extremely confusing....and basic. I highly suggest going to boardmod's website, their faqs helped me a lot!
