I have the smilies mod and i just upgraded to version 1.4.0 and it works great, took about 30secs to do the upgrade, i was amazed how easy it is, i run boards for a few friends too, and likewise they all upgraded without a hitch, great work to everyone thet did this :)

hi i just just wondering under what circumstance would you actually deem it stable and very much free of bugs for 1.4...

and also im thinking of starting a project for an integrated cms sys including postnuke and yabb and all other cool applications...

any suggestions and the viability of the project?

Nice to hear things working out for everyone... Except me :-(

When i go to the specified URLs after completing the initial steps (www.mysite.com/yabb/upgrade.php), it just attempts to download the .php file!!

Is it the server that is not capable of running .php, I don't understand this since my YaBB SE 1.1 forum works just fine.

Maybe some of you YaBB-geniusses can help a poor guy out?

You should probably upgrade to 1.3 first then upgrade to 1.4 after you upgrade to 1.4.

Paragon, you using version 4.2 of PHP? May have to add some code to the top of that file to make it work...

I've actually done two or three upgrades from 1.0 to 1.4 and they have all worked flawlessly.  Maybe I've just been lucky.  ;)

Do the 1.3 language packs work with 1.4 or do i have to wait for new language packs?

The language packs differ. However, the dutch language pack is shipped with 1.4, so there's no need to seperately download it.
