Fatal error: Allowed memory size ?

Sometimes, when a user posts a message on our forum the following error is displayed:

I don't think it's a YaBB bug, but any idea's what could cause this?

  • Increase the amount of memory a php script can use in the php.ini, this should make the bug "disappear".
  • Update to the newest YaBB SE version, I think the bug was fixed in one of the newer versions
  • Search the forum before posting a question, the problem was discussed a hundred times before

Thank you for your reply! I will try that.
Anyway, I tried using the search but it didn't come up with any results..
I just tried searching for "Allowed memory size", no results ???

One Year Later...

...I saw a line on /etc/php.ini, contains:-

Code Select
memory_limit = 8M  ; Maximum amount of memory a script may consume (8M)

Increase it, and your problem is solved...
