Spaceman or anyone else,

Has anyone looked into the new coppermine dev 1.1 version.  Greg has changed the codebase so it now includes basic user integration via bridge inc files.  I was hoping someone could bridge this version to yabbse.  I prefer to keep coppermine seperate from my yabb board, so i can enjoy the updates more easily.  I would love a basic user integration though....any thoughts?

This is really cool! It looks like he's using a module to translate to the bb's database. Whan the gallery needs user info it used functions from the bridge to access the BB database. Slick!

Somebody who knows a little about the YaBB database should be able to create a bridge between coppermine and YaBB. It may not integrate as tightly, but it'll allow much easier upgrades.

For me, I'll stay with my hacked version of 1.0 I've made too many changes (and forgot what I did) to do it all again.

Just wondering if anyone was willing to tackle yabbse integration using the new coppermine bridge file format?

It looks as though admin permissions are handled within the bridge file.

I have just started looking at this, but my (almost complete) lack of knowledge about Coppermine is a bit of a hinderence ;) .. sill, something to get my teeth stuck into.

Woo...
Done a hack & Slash job on the vBulletin bridge.

User/Group integration seems to be working 8)
I've hideously broken most album management & batch uploads tough ::)

Still ... not bad for a few hours hacking. Hopefully, I'll be able to get it working when I get in from work tonight :)

Yay .. it seems to work now :) - apart from the 'register' 'logout' 'profile' etc buttons.

sweet...I wish you luck....I am really excited to get this integration.

I like the bridge method better than full blown integration, because it allows me to upgrade coppermine independantly of yabbse, and keeps my major mods to yabbse down to manageable level.

hehe .. never noticed you'd posted there, so I just modded my old post ::)

It seems to work great, apart from some minor 'cosmetic' functions (as above).
However, there is a potential licensing issue as I am mixing some yabbse code (authentication stuff) with some GPL code. I'll have to get that out of the way before I publish.

I've been using this gallery for sometime now and it works great. Just today, I upgraded my forum to 1.5.1 and also the gallery. The only problem right now is the gallery icon on the forum is not showing...but if you go directly to http://myhost.com/forum/gallery , the gallery is working.... The needed tags on the template is still in there.

Look in Subs.php and make sure that it's shown in there, somewhere in .yabbmenu

you have to run the .mod file and upload the gallery.gif image
