If I can create albums, why can't I upload pics?

Also I get this error when I try to search new pics under the gallery settings page:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: db_connect() in /home/******/public_html/yabbse/gallery/searchnew.php on line 42

Any Ideas on these probs?

The search new function is broken in Coppermine. ANd there for will be broken here. You heve to upload the images one at a time.

Some others have had this. Copy the YabbImages folder into the gallery folder (Copy, not move) or create a symlink to it. It's some paths thing that is only effecting a hand full of installations. (one of them mine  ;) )

I made the YaBBImage directory under my galley directory and only put the logo picture in it, as opposed to copying the the entire contents.  You don't need a duplication of all the images in the YaBBImage Directory.
I hate giving up any more of my server space than I have too. :)

Well, obviously copy any graphics that are used by the gallery itself, all I was saying is that there are graphics in the that folder that are not needed by the gallery so don't duplicate those graphics.  In my case I only needed the one graphic, you may need a couple and someone out there my need more, just don't waste space on unused duplicates.  ;D

I used a code like this for a small chat I built that is for use of only one group on my board.  No guests or members that are not part of this group will even see the button.

       if ($settings[7] == 'Administrator' || $settings[7] == 'proupholsterers')
       $yymenu = $yymenu.$menusep."<a href=\"$boardurl/yabbse/chat/login.php?option=chat&username=$euser\">$img[chat]</a>";

You just need to adjust this for you galley button and who you want to see the galley button.

this will hide the gallery button but guest still can view the gallery ??? for example they can type this in their browser:

You can go into your template.php where the gallery menu is shown and put something similar to:

if (NOT 'guest')
       <yabb galleymenu>;

this would only show the galley menu if you are a member, obviously not the complete syntax but you get the general Idea.  I'm sure that there a several ways to get what you want.  In the index.php in the gallery directory, you should be able to use something similar to the first code to stop guest from going to the galley.  If no one else comes up with something during the day, I'll put something together for you this evening.

u can write something like this at the end of init.inc.php: if ($username == "Guest")
   fatal_error($txt[223]);

i'm thinking to add membergroup settings for the gallery, it will be a lot of work tho :P
