I think I've got it working on my site OK.  http://duxcw.com/yabbse.  Haven't chatted yet, but it looks real cool.  However, when I am in chat it shows 0 users in the chat room.  I would also, as previously suggested, like chat users online at the bottom of the page.  And I would like to retrict the chat room to registered yabbse users on my site.  The reason for that is we are very strict about vulgar language.  Boardmod had search errors with 1.41 so I did it manually.  I have never used boardmod before so the errors may have been caused by my ignorance.  Larry

I just added this mod to my page, and all the features seem to be working fine, but I'm getting the "Done, but with errors on the page" message at the bottom of IE.  Don't have a clue what this is.  It says that the error is in line 6 character 1 of the page, but I can't get a view source to come up so I can see it.  Any ideas?  Not a huge deal, but sort of irritating.......

Help would be appreciated.

Thanks, but I tried it and I get the same problem.  I have the code in there as you do (but I have included the <yabb name> and <yabb im> things in between.  Is that the problem?  Should I make a whole new table with your code that ONLY has this information in it?

thanks for your help so far....

you forgot to edit this  line for the roomname

src="http://irc.everywherechat.com:8000/java/test.js?room=roomname"></script>

Thats why it shows 0 users.

I have discovered that the "errors on page" message only occurs when the chat room is empty.  When it has even one user in it, there are no errors.  I think it is because it is trying to check the member names of a room that doesn't exist.  Don't know if there is a fix for that, but that is what causes it.  I tried the code that was posted in the other thread by nemesis (thanks, by the way) but it was identical to the code I had in there already.

Hey brodle

Chris Cromer has reported it is happening at Boardmod SE test site. I haven't touched the code so I also have a feeling it is something happening on your side.  :-\

I think you guys are right. I do get the code on another forum I run when nobody is in there. The RFC site always has people in there, which would explain us never seeing it. Should be an easy fix.

The chat looks nice. Only thing I don't like is that the color is blue which doesn't go with anything in my site. Do they offer this chat in other colors? I was just looking for something more neutral like a white or light gray. I'm a web designer so I guess I'm looking at it from a artistic eye and not from a programmers mind.

I downloaded and installed the chat and I really like it! It's one of the best chat's I've used.  It looks nice and runs quickly and smoothly.

Now unfortunitly I'm one of those people using absolute table widths :( and Netscape won't display the chat. Sigh. Is there any way around this shy of the obvious, getting rid of the absolute table width? Thanks!

Keep up the great work!

Also, can you remove the rooms tab from the following chatroom, yfc. Thanks!

in your chat.php use e.js instead of full.js

so you can do e.js?room=nameofroom&height=500&width=500
