Title: How to create language packs/avatar sets
Post by: Zef Hemel on December 18, 2001, 06:40:34 AM
Language pack
Right now you will have to create two seperate packages for a language pack (if you have translated images too):

Creating an avatar set
There are two ways to create an avatar set. The first is by just packing all your avatars into a package, the second is to create a seperate directory for your new avatars and packing that.

Packing all your avatars

Selectively pack avatars

I tried to create and install my swedish language, but all I get is this error-message:

"Parse error: parse error, expecting `')'' in /home/v/vaktuell/www/yabbse/swedish.lng on line 18"

:P

@sheriffen:

Edit your language file and look if in some line 18 OR ABOVE at the end of the line there is always a semicolon ';' or that there is a ')' missing in the line starting with require_once.

Sometimes it is also missing " marks.

All directories within your YaBB SE folder should be chmodded to 777.

i already have an idea for a mod, you have a link in the profile, you click on it, then a window-popup, in this window you can find different avatar-categories, like games and computer, you click on a categorie, then you have an preview of all avatars in the categire, like this, but this are smilies: :) ;) :D ;D >:( :( :o 8) ??? ::) :P :-[ :-X :-\ :-* :'(  . so you have a preview of the avatars. If you click on one avatare, you have it in you're profile.

I don't think you had read the instructions, because the pack is created by the board itself.

I have a Harry Potter avatar set that you can download at http://members.lycos.co.uk/mugglemade/hpavatars/avatars.zip

It's about 285KB, and I didn't think you'd appreciate having that sent to your email address.   :)

Once you've used the package manager to extract it, you're done.
